Parkway Village regulations help create a clean, attractive, enjoyable environment for residents and visitors.

Easements

Melford Avenue and Linwood Ave. Each resident whose property abut the easement is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of that easement. If your property is located on the north side of Melford, you are responsible for the maintenance and upkeep to the middle of the easement behind your property. If your property is located on the south side of Linwood, your property also extends to the middle of the easement, and you are responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of your half.

Garbage and Recycling

Yard waste, trash, recycling, junk and other refuse should be placed curbside after noon on the day before service, and must be removed from public view by noon on the day following service.

  • Trash/recycling bins curbside before/after ordinance guidelines can result in $15 per weekly occurrence.

  • Junk placed curbside before/after ordinance guideline can result in $15 per day (junk is to be placed curbside no earlier than Monday after 12:00 pm).

Grass and Lawn

Grass height should remain below 12”.

Grass height in excess of 12" will incur a fine of $20 per day (if grass remains in excess of 12" for more than five (5) days, the City of Parkway Village will contract to have the grass mowed and the incurred expense will be billed to the property owner, in addition to the fine levies)

Parking

If you have a parking pad that was granted grandfathered status before passage of Ordinance 2006-01 on June 27, 2006, the parking pad must be maintained in compliance with the Ordinance.  Specifically, pads must be of concrete, brick, asphalt or covered with at least two (2) inches of gravel and be maintained in good condition.  

No new parking pads may be legally constructed or used for off-street parking. Vehicles parked on unauthorized parking pads will be cited.
